Tungsten element has good electrical and thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, low vapor pressure, and is prone to forming hard carbides. The melting point of tungsten is about 3422 degree C, which is the highest among all non alloy metals, making it extremely important in high-temperature applications. Tungsten has a very high hardness and can maintain its hardness even at high temperatures, making it an ideal material for manufacturing hard alloys. The density of tungsten is about 19.3 g/cm ³, second only to osmium and iridium, ranking third among many metals, making it suitable for use as a weight or protective material. In addition, tungsten can maintain good conductivity and thermal conductivity at high temperatures, making it suitable for electrical applications that require high temperature resistance. Tungsten also has good chemical stability and is not easily corroded by most acids and bases, making it suitable for use in harsh environments.
